Our topic for the Autumn term is - The Egyptians!


P.E will be on a Tuesday afternoon and a Thursday morning
Homework, spellings and times tables will be given out on a Friday and returned by the following Wednesday
Reading records will be checked weekly to ensure regular reading. Our class book for this term is the BFG.

In English we will be starting from the basics of writing, from what makes a sentence - the importance of capital letters and full stops - to letter formation and spacing.  We will investigate the 4 different types of sentences that should be used and when is the right time to use them.  Nouns, adjectives, adverbs and conjunctions will be introduced to be frequently used within our writing and we will use stimuli from our own experiences to write with enthusiasm.

Our Egyptian topic will span the whole of the Autumn term and we will be looking at all aspects of ancient Egyptian life, from social hierarchy, Pharaohs, mummification, amulets, Gods, and the importance of the Nile.
