Sport at Rolph
Sport is a very important part of our curriculum at Rolph C of E Primary School and Nursery.
Children are encouraged to have an active life style.
Throughout the year sports coaches have visited our school to give the children an opportunity to take part in many different sports, some traditional and some more unusual.
New Age Kurling
At Rolph we offer a range of extra-curricular sport and activity clubs and actively take part in many inter-schools competitions. These include:
To find out more about the clubs we offer and how our teams have performed please take a look at the clubs tab.
All classes have weekly PE sessions either taught by their class teachers or by a coach from Colchester United. Our Year 5 pupils partake in Swimming lessons at Clacton Leisure Centre to help them achieve their 25m and we actively support the local Swim Safe initiative to ensure our children are safe in and around water.
Our children really enjoyed taking part in the Aldi ‘Kits for Schools’ competition and we were delighted to be able to send off three completed sheets – that’s an impressive 300 stickers. Unfortunately, we were not one of the lucky schools to win £20,000 but we have received our 3 bags of sports equipment.
Thankyou to everybody who took part.
